River Hong Bao 2013

We visited River Hong Bao Carnival at The Float @ Marina Bay on the third day of CNY.

Leonitus and I took pictures with our Chinese Zodiac signs. I was born in the Year of the Pig. Oink!

While Leonitus was born in the Year of the Ox. Moooo....

Daddy making wishes by throwing the coins at the fortune bells.

Having our pictures taken with the lanterns of the Giant Panda, Kai Kai and Jia Jia.

Our first family portrait for CNY 2013.

A giant God of Fortune lantern.

Taking family pictures with Fu (God of Good Fortune), Lu (God of Prosperity), Shou (God of Longevity).

There is a funny-looking lantern of another God of Fortune on top of a huge pineapple.

What's a carnival without children rides right?! But the rides were really expensive! We were given a choice to choose one ride that we both want to take and we both agreed on this.

The sky was turning dark and all the lanterns were lit up, but it was time for us to go home because Leonitus was getting tired and cranky as the people poured into the carnival ground.

Although very crowded and hot, it was kind of fun and we might visit River Hong Bao again next year.

CNY 2013 - Kong Ming Lantern

Normally, we would have blogged about our first day of CNY by now, but this year is a little bit different. We didn't have the mood to take pictures because a terrible accident happened on the first day of CNY. While we were at the first stop of our visiting, our grandfather had a bad fall and we had to take him to the hospital. Luckily, he didn't have to stay in the hospital but his wrist was fractured and might need a surgery later on.

OK, as CNY continues, we shan't let this small setback affect us so much. So here is our Day 2 of CNY, we visited our grandma and godparents, then a took a small detour on our way home and dropped by West Coast Park, coz Daddy wanted to show us the Kong Ming Lantern.

We were so curious when Mommy told us that this lantern could fly. We have seen many lanterns but not one that flies!

We had our wishes written on the lantern. I wanted a colorful kite, Leonitus wished for superhero toys. Mommy and Daddy just had to make better wishes for us. Mommy wished for happiness and good health for everyone in our family. Daddy wished for a united family that stays strong together.

Our Kong Ming lantern floated gently off the ground.

And carried our wishes up into the sky.

As we were leaving the park, I asked Daddy, "Would my colorful kite drop down from the sky tomorrow?" HAHAHAHA.....
