Celebrating Leonitus's Birthday

Today, we celebrated Leonitus's two year old birthday at home. We had a cozy little party with few of our close relatives.

Mommy spent the whole afternoon preparing food for the steamboat BBQ dinner which was very fresh and yummy.

Here's our birthday boy!

Finally it was time for cake-cutting. A photo of our lovely family.

Together with our grands.

We got him a Mickey Mouse cake from Bengawan Solo, it wasn't gluten-free but Mommy said it was OK to make it an exception because it was Leonitus's birthday.

My little brother is super at blowing the candles, he had been practising it for ages.

Next month would be our cousin Caine's birthday, I can't wait to go. We love birthdays!

Boxing Day 2011

In our family, we maintain the traditional Christmas ritual of withholding all presents until Boxing Day. Today is the day, we empty out the bottom of our Christmas tree and rip open all our presents! YEAH!!

Ready, on the mark, get set, GO!!

Finally all presents are opened; Mommy kept some toys in the store room and release them to us by batches so we will not be overwhelmed by too many toys.

I love Boxing Day! I wish everyday is Boxing Day. Hahaha...

Celebrating my Birthday in School

It was my birthday on the of 6th Dec, Daddy and Mommy took leave from work to celebrate my birthday in my school. It was also my brother, Leonitus's first day of school. He was the special guest at my birthday.

I had a pink cake shaped in the number four and there were fairies and flowers on it. I like the cake very much because I chose this design on my own.

My friends in school sang me a birthday song and watched me blew out the candles. Then we ate the cake together and everyone went home with a goody bag. I love birthday! Can we have it everyday?

First His Nose, Then His Finger

Two weeks ago, Leonitus hurt his nose quite bad when he fell from the bed; last Saturday, he hurt his finger.

He had his finger on the hinge of the door when I was closing the door. It was so painful that he cried for 45 minutes.

Fortunately, everything is well on the road of recovery now. Hopefully, he will be safe from now on.

Orange Tree Preschool Graduation 2011

Yes, that's me! With more makeup than Mommy. I just came back from my school performance.

My school just held a graduation concert and art & craft exhibition at DBS Auditorium. This board of marine creatures was done by my class, N2A.

This squid was made by me!

Apart from the art & craft, I also participated in a dance segment.

Bang! And then blood...

Leonitus dived off Mommy's bed and smashed his face into the wall. There was so much blood oozing out from his nostrils. Mommy whisked him to the nearby 24 hour clinic and was told by the GP to bring him to KKH instead.

Daddy wasn't in Singapore, so Mommy drove Leonitus to the hospital on her own while Kaka stayed at home with me. Doctor in KKH confirmed that Leonitus didn't have a broken nose just nasal septal hematoma which is an injury to the cartilage of his nose.

Did he learn his lesson? Apparently not, coz he was seen climbing all over the hospital chairs hours after his nose stop bleeding!!

Everything Halloween

I learnt about Halloween not too long ago. When I saw witches' hats, scary masks, devil's horns and more selling at the supermarket, I was curious and Mommy explained that Halloween was approaching and those were the costume for dressing up.

Then my ballet school was having Halloween theme last Saturday. Mommy bought me a pair of wings and I dressed up as a fairy. I was so happy.

Daddy brought home a pumpkin last week and he learnt to crave it into a jack-o-lantern by watching some instructional video online.

When the jack-o-lantern was lighted up, it looked really menacing!

Leonitus was petrified by it and started to brawl when Daddy wanted to take a picture of him sitting beside the lantern.

I was quite afraid of it initially. But I am older so I am more brave than my brother, I supposed.

It took us some time to cultivate the courage to sit beside the jack-o-lantern.

In the end, we overcome our fears and started to poke it around. It's just a pumpkin, Mommy kept saying.

Halloween Mood

MBS Staycation

We had an over-night stay at the Marina Bay Sands over the weekend. The moment we checked into our hotel room, we changed and headed straight for the pool at the Sky Park.

I was pretending to be a mermaid. Hehehe....

Leonitus loves to be thrown high up in the air. He is the devil-dare of our family.

We chilled out by the pool beds.

Watched the world passed us by below our feet.

I enjoyed splashing and getting everyone wet!

Mommy didn't bring her swim suit so she was the photographer for us.

Heading down to Singapore Flyers for dinner with our grandparents.

The next morning, Mommy left for work after we had our breakfast, Daddy brought us around and took more pictures of us.

We were checking out the picturesque view at the lift lobby.

Back to the hotel to pack up before we check out and head home.

We had a delightful time even though Mommy had to work on a Sunday, but it was okay, we had Daddy who took care of everything for us.

Growing Up

Leonitus, at 20 months old, can't wait to eat on his own. He refuses to have anyone feed him anymore. My little brother is growing up fast!

And I am his good role model, feeding and eating well on my own.

Bioresonance Therapy

I wasn't just sitting on a comfortable chair watching cartoon, I was actually receiving therapy - Bioresonance Therapy, which is supposed to use the principles of quantum physics to modify my electromagnetic oscillations in order to attain balance of my body’s energetic imbalances. These energetic imbalances result in conditions such as my allergies, eczema & food intolerance.

I had always been told I suffer from allergies, that is why I keep sneezing and have stuffy nose. But I really do not know what I was allergic to until recently. With Bioresonance Therapy, I was diagnosed with food intolerance; eating gluten, lactose and seafood make me sick.

As Bioresonance Therapy is considered as an alternative form of medical treatment. We are still unsure if it really works, so I was to be the lab rat for the family. If this works, I believe Leonitus would be able to get over his asthma too. *finger crossed.

Celebrating 外婆's birthday

It would be my 外婆's birthday on Monday, we gave her a treat at Nan Xiang Steamed Bun Restaurant at Plaza Singapura yesterday evening.

外婆 was busy going through the menu, picking up dishes she likes.

Uncle Eric, Aunt Honey and Cousin Caine were also joining us in the celebration.

Leonitus wanted to feed himself.

Look at the table full of emptied dishes. We were so FULL!

Mid-Autumn Festival 2011

"It's Mid-Autumn Festive. Hurray!! Let's celebrate with our lanterns."

Due to the haze situation and because both of us have sensitive airways, we didn't go too far to carry our lanterns. We were down at our pool and the little recreation park in our condo.

Although it was just downstairs, we were happy enough because we have Daddy and Mommy with us.

We met our neighbor, Abigail. But she didn't have a lantern, so we lend ours to her.

Then we saw someone playing with lanterns that blew bubbles. We played together, it was much more fun.

It was a pity that we didn't see to see the moon because of the haze but never mind, the look of our glowing lanterns was just as nice.

Time to go home. Goodnite lanterns. Goodnite moon. Hopefully next year, we will see the moon, big and round.

Chinatown and Lanterns

It was some time back, before the Mid-Autumn Festival, that we went to Chinatown. The entrance of the MRT Station was decorated with hand-painted lanterns. Really pretty!

When we walked through the station to get to Chinatown Point, we spotted this wall with lots of birds. We couldn't resist not taking some pictures with it.

Daddy bought us lanterns! I had wanted Angry Bird but Mommy thought it was ugly so I chose the Hello Kitty lantern instead, and Leonitus got a Thomas, The Train lantern.

It was Leonitus' first lantern and he was fascinated by it.

Can't wait to show off our lanterns during Mid-Autumn Festival.

Bruises and Bumps

Fast Food, Fun Rides and Ice-creams!

The title says it all. It was an evening of dreams come true, at least for Leonitus and I.

We had Carls Junior for dinner.

Daddy promised to let us take a ride on the carousel if we behave during dinner. Although, it was a small carousel, we enjoyed it very much.

We got lucky when we were just sitting around on the Barney's ride and someone decided to treat us for a ride with their baby.

And the evening ended perfectly with ice-creams!

It was just one of those lazy, rainy weekend, but we loved it!

Boredom

Sometimes Leonitus would cry on and on for no reason. Mommy says those were the cries for boredom and the best way to deal with it, is to just let him cry until he 'hit his quota'.

Shortly after the above video was taken, Leonitus was shown of it and amazingly he stopped crying, seeing himself crying on the film actually amused him. Guess, he is a little narcissistic after all.

Kaka-less

Our helper (we call her Kaka) has went back home for holidays. We would be kaka-less for the next 9 days, Daddy and Mommy would have to work very hard at home to take care of us and to keep our home clean and neat. Not going to be an easy task. Hehehe...

Fruit and Floral Basket

Mommy is a little bit unwell and she is on hospitalization MC. Her company is so nice, they sent her a fruit and floral basket last evening.

But it seemed that we are more excited to receive the basket than Mommy.

Can't wait to get our tiny hands on the goodies inside.

Unpredictable

One moment, Leonitus would be running about, swinging his arms...

... the next moment, he was running a temperature as high as 39.4 Degree Celsius.

That's how unpredictable children can be!

Updated on 9th Aug '11 (11.30pm):

Leonitus's fever hit as high as 40.3. Mommy and Daddy drove him to KKH at 4am and he was kept under observation. Luckily, his temperature came down and he was allow to go home later in the morning.

Unfortunately, I must have catch the bug and is beginning to fall sick too; had fever and tummyache. Mommy is going to be very busy the next few days, looking after the two of us.

The Best Medicine

Leonitus just had his vaccination and is feeling a little crappy. He has been crying a lot and refusing to eat at times.

Nothing seems to be able to make him feel better, until Mommy surrendered and decided to let him have it his way, which is eating lollipop and wafer for lunch.

And they worked like a charm! Leonitus was instantly cheered up and decided to stop making everyone else's lives miserable with his crying and whining.

My blog hasn't been updated for the longest time ever because Mommy was so busy at work recently. She even had to work over the weekends, conducting workshops for SK-II.

We went to Vivo City to pick Mommy up from work and there was this very fun photo booth which we could have our pictures taken for free.

We love the pictures! They are so BEAUTIFUL!

Pulau Ubin - Celestial Resort

Last weekend, we went to Pulau Ubin with Mommy, Daddy and Daddy's colleagues. We took a bum-boat from Changi Point. It my first time riding a bum-boat. I was so excited.

Our sleepy-head Leonitus just woke up from his nap, just in time to enjoy the boat ride.

When we reached Pulau Ubin's jetty, we took a "taxi" which was actually more like a mini van to Celestial Resort, which we stayed for the night.

After a quick lunch, we took a short nap to recharge our energy.

There were some stray dogs in the resort but they were mostly harmless and very friendly.

This is my new friend, Dawn, we played bubbles together at the resort's lagoon.

Then we headed for the water for a dip with Mommy.

Daddy rented a canoe and paddled us around the lagoon.

There were some toys on the beach, we were busy build sandcastles.

Time to go back for a quick shower, it was close to dinner time. We had lots of fun at the tiny lagoon.

In the evening, we had a BBQ dinner and a birthday celebration. It was Dawn's 3rd birthday!

I made another good friend, Annabell. She is turning 6 this Aug, but we were almost the same size!

Together, we had lots of laughter and played lots of games.

Next morning, we were on our way to Hornbill restaurant of the resort when we spotted several Hornbills up in the tree near the restaurant. I think this was how the restaurant got its name.

Breakfast was complimentary of the resort. It was simple but not fantastic though.

After breakfast, we went to the fish spa and fed our feet to the hungry fish.

Then it was a trip to the resort's jetty for some pictures before heading back to our duplex chalet to pack up.

Look at what Leonitus was trying to do. Mommy said he might be practicing yoga. Hahaha...

I enjoyed myself very much and was very glad to have met Dawn and Annabell in this trip. I hope we would see each other again some time.

Father's Day 2011

Today is Father's Day. Mommy gave us all a lunch treat at Sakae Sushi, at the mall near our home, Lot One. Then we went over to MOF to eat ICE-CREAMS!!

After lunch, we went back to take our naps, when we woke up, we returned to Lot One again. This time was for MOVIE!!

It's our first time in a cinema and we were watching KUNG FU PANDA 2! How awesome!

We were at West Coast Plaza earlier and the mall is now exhibiting sand sculptures. They are so interesting!

I hadn't expect to see so many sand sculptures in-door.

And for as little as $4, you can get your hands on some sandy bottle art. This is my first time trying to make art using colored sand.

Leonitus and Daddy were amazed by me, the artist at work.

Children's Tui Na

It was a stormy Sunday morning, Daddy and Mommy woke up unusually early and drove in a crazy weather just so that we can visit this Chinese Physician, somewhere in the east. We had been coughing for the last one week.

They must be really good because the clinic was so crowded even on a morning with such a horrid downpour that flooded so many parts of Singapore. They specialised in children's tui na, a type of Chinese massage that could improve ailments from cold to hyperactivity!

I LOVE my tui na to the MAX! Totally enjoying myself, as you can tell from the pictures below.

Leonitus was fine at the beginning but became slightly cranky towards the end, but luckily there were lots of toys and books to keep children, like him, entertained. And the tui na shi-fus were real good with children too.

Mommy is afraid to disclose the name of the Chinese Physician on this post for the fear that the freakishly long queue could become even longer. But if you are dying to know about this place, do email my mommy privately.

Our first cruise trip

We just came back from our first cruise trip to Pulau Redang. Lots of eating, sun and swimming!

Our cabin was really nice with a balcony that gave us a magnificent view of the sea.

Early morning stroll on the sun deck after breakfast was most enjoyable.

Leonitus was goofing around with our grandmother's bag. He made everyone laughed.

I went to climb the kid's wall while Leonitus took his nap in the cabin. I have the agility of a monkey!

Off we went to Pulau Redang on a smaller boat.

Pulau Redang is beautiful with white sandy beach and crystal clear water!

The adults tried to bury me in the sand! HELP!!

We were famished after an afternoon by the beach. Leonitus almost finished a basket of bread. Unbelievable!

The toothpicks kept us entertained during the dinner.

Time flew by when we were having fun. Soon it was the final day of our trip, we spent the last few hours on board playing at the children's pool before we packed up and said our goodbye to this wonderful ship that was our home for the last 2 nights.

We had such good fun!!

Kids Run 2011

Last Sunday, we attended our very first Cold Storage's Kids Run at the Padang. It was really hot and sunny!

Mommy and Leonitus were in a tag-team doing the Stroller Chase.

While Daddy and I paired up for the Sunny Family Chase.

And finally the race began! It was a 800m non-competitive race that I must complete with Daddy running along side of me.

I ran and ran throughout the entire race, never once stopping down to rest.

And when I reached the finish line, I received my very first medal!

We are ALL Champions! Daddy and Mommy were so proud of me and Leonitus, although Leonitus sat in the stroller and it was Mommy who was doing the running.

Before we left, I saw the red apple mascot and wanted to have my picture taken with it. It was cool!

I will definitely be back next year!! It's so fun!!

Relaxing Afternoon at Marina Barrage

After collecting our race packs for next week's Kids Run at the F1 Building, we had about 90 minutes to spare before our dinner, so we heading to Marina Barrage.

Mommy prepared some snack for us to eat so it was like a mini picnic.

After snacking, we had lots of energy to run about.

I laid down on Mommy's legs and watched the kites flying in the sky while Leonitus hung out with Daddy. It was really relaxing.

Time flew by and soon we had to say goodbye to Marina Barrage and head to our next destination for dinner. "Bye, but we will be back again next time!"

Mother's Day Dinner 2011

Mommy had wanted to go to Tawandang Microbrewery at Dempsey Hill for sometime. Since this Sunday is Mother's Day, we took the opportunity to fulfill her wish to eat at Tawandang.

The place was almost fully booked, except for some out-door seat. We had the long couch seat which wasn't the most comfortable setting for dinner but it was great for chill-out.

That's Mommy with Leonitus, chilling out and waiting for dinner to be served.

Finally the beer was served. Tawandang has its own microbrewery set in the restaurant which means the beers are freshly brewed and they have 3 kinds of brews to choose from. Although we, the children, were not supposed to drink, but that did not stop us from being curious about it.

We had their famous pork knuckle, tom yam soup, pineapple rice, grilled beer and cabbage. They were all very yummy!

After dinner, we took a short stroll about Dempsey Hill before headed back to our car and call it a night.

Scooter Lesson at East Coast Park

Last Monday was a school holiday, so we decided to go to East Coast to learn to ride my scooter.

Actually, riding the scooter can be really tiring. I gave up after 20 minutes.

Finally Leonitus had a chance to play. He had been waiting for a long time and he enjoyed it probably more than me.

Maybe Mommy will buy Leonitus his own scooter when he is older.

Dinner at MBS

We went to Rise at Marina Bay Sands for dinner with Daddy, Mommy, our grandparents and uncles on Labor Day.

Mommy likes the Boston lobsters, she also likes to use the lobster to fool around with us.

After dinner, we went up to my uncle's hotel room in MBS. The night view was simply breathtaking! And the evening was better because we had the whole family together.

Celebrate Earth Day at Bottle Tree Park

This afternoon, we went to Bottle Tree Park at Yishun for the Earth Day Party.

ACRES was there with the exhibition of the bear in cage to promote awareness of wildlife crime. Leonitus seemed very interested in the bear.

I was making a drum with some recyclable materials while Leonitus played with a balloon.

Finally the weather cleared up and we ventured out for a walk around the park.

How can we leave the park without taking some pictures with the cow?

Dressing Up

I drew many suns because it was SO SUNNY so one sun was just not enough.

Dinner @ The Tanglin Tree

Last weekend, we went to The Tanglin Tree for dinner. The attraction of this restaurant is its out-door playground which has a cool 'treehouse'.

The food of The Tanglin Tree is rather expensive, we spent more than $120 for just a simple dinner for 2 adults and 2 kid's meals but the food is rather tasty.

There is also a sandbox that I like very much. I could 'draw' pictures on the sand with my fingers.

Leonitus likes climbing up the treehouse; he is a little like monkey. Hahaha...

It's a good place for adults to gather and chat over a longer dinner because the kids could be kept busy at the playground and we would not scream to get out of the restaurant like we normally do.

Visiting the Hair Salon

Usually Mommy would cut our hair for us, but she is getting lazier and decided to send Leonitus to her regular hairstylist instead.

Mommy's hairstylist bribed Leonitus with a lollipop before she began cutting his hair.

But it was still very hard to cut because Leonitus kept turning his hair left and right.

Mommy's hairstylist is such a patient lady, she put on with the head turning, face-making, hands grabbing and whining; she just smiled and quietly worked on Leonitus's head.

Thank you, Auntie Cindy of Kimage, Lot 1, even though Kaka thought that my Mommy is still the better hairstylist for us.

We are Fidgeting Again

The last time we came to Fidgets was about a year ago; Leonitus was still a little baby. Now that he is older, there are a lot more stuff he can join in.

Learning Chinese

I usually don't get much chance to learn to speak Mandarin because everyone at home communicates in English.

When Mommy see me reading a simple story in Mandarin, she was so proud of me as well as grateful to the teacher who teaches me Chinese in school.

My Personal Laptop

Mommy had finally relented and cave in to digital media for her little girl. We have an extra notebook at home, so Mommy asked Daddy to let me use it to play some educational games.

Mommy commented that she has never see me so focused in learning before.

I feel so happy whenever I get the answers correct!

I look forward to my daily 20 minutes of computer time every evening. Mommy says I can only play if I behave myself during dinner and bath time, so I am trying my best!

The Southern Ridges and Vivo City

Last Sunday, we attempted to conquer the Southern Ridges. We parked our car at Hort Park and made our way from Alexandra Arch.

I was walking on my own and enjoying myself very much, running on the bridge of the Forest Walk, while Mommy carried Leonitus.

Then Mommy decided to let Leonitus come down for a walk as well. But I guess he didn't quite like it and after a while he started crying.

Then his cry progressed into a meltdown! We had to abandon the walk to return to our car.

Daddy had to carry him while he sobbed and sobbed all the way until we put him in his car seat. Maybe he was feeling hot, or maybe he had phobia of height. We were just disappointed that the trip had to end early.

Or maybe Leonitus was trying to tell us that walking via the Southern Ridges to Vivo City was all a bad idea. Ok, baby brother, we hear you, we will drive there instead.

We had our dinner at Marche of VivoCity.

I like this place. I was given some coloring pencils and papers to keep me busy while Daddy and Mommy went around to order food for us.

And Leonitus also had changed for a better mood and was ready to eat a cow.

Goodbye Marche! We will be back!

After dinner, we hung around the Sky Park but it is under going some renovation right now. So we just sat around and watched the sun set before we leave for home.

Hopefully, when Leonitus is older when can do the Southern Ridges again and complete the entire walk from Hort Park to Vivo City by foot, not car.

Evening is the most chaotic period in our home because Daddy and Mommy have only 2 hours to spend with us (before our bedtime), but we still have to cramp in dinner and bathe. So sometime the best way to save time is to bath the two of us together.

Choa Chu Kang Park with Leonitus

Last weekend, Mommy brought me and Leonitus to Choa Chu Kang Park's playground after our dinner at the nearby eatery.

Leonitus, at 13th month old, can already walk very steadily and play independently at the park.

This was Leonitus's first time playing with the sand. He wasn't too fussy with his sandy hands and feet, like Mommy initially thought he would.

As for me, I was so enjoying myself building sandcastles and making new friends that for a moment I didn't remember I had a baby brother. Hahaha...

Happy Birthday, Cousin Caine!

We just came home from our cousin, Caine's birthday party at Downtown East Coasta Sand Resorts. He is one year old today.

I was most attracted to the birthday cake; I absolutely love birthday cake especially when it is lighted up with candles!

Here is our Leonitus, who is just one month older than Caine.

Finally it was time to cut the birthday cake. We gathered around to sing Caine a Happy Birthday song. This was the best part of the party. I was so happy!

Reading Is Fun

Mommy had cultivated us to like books since we are babies. Now Leonitus is happy picking up a book, even though he can't read, he enjoys looking at the pictures; doesn't matter if the book is sometimes upside down.

Reunion Dinner with Mommy's Friends

Every year, Mommy will have a reunion dinner with some friends that she knew for the last 16 years or longer, they are also my 舅舅's schoolmates. This year the dinner was held at a private room of Peach Garden Restaurant, Hotel Miramar. Mommy brought along me and Daddy to the dinner.

I met some friends there; they were the children of Mommy's friends.

And there was also my cousin, Caine, son of my 舅舅.

I not only had fun with the children, I also had fun playing with Uncle Weizhang.

I can amuse myself anytime with just an orange when everyone was busy.

After the dinner, we had our annual group photo taken before we said our goodbyes.

See you next year!! Hopefully, there will be more little friends, like Leonitus and Baby Egon, joining us for the dinner.

Valentine's Day Dinner For All of Us

Daddy would be leaving for business trip tomorrow so we had dinner together atVerve Bar & Bistro, Lock Rd, to "celebrate" Valentine's Day. But seriously, we didn't mean to make this a Valentine's Day celebration, but since we were already eating out and the venue was so perfectly romantic, Mommy decided it shall be.

Although Mommy didn't receive any flowers or gift this year, she is still quite happy to spend her advance Valentines with not 1, but 2, most important men in her life.

Apart from us, there were only 4 couples. I guess, we must have totally thwarted their romantic ambience with our rowdiness. Sorry, but that's reality when kids come along. So enjoy those remain moments of courtship coz those sweet-nothing ain't going to too last.

Celebrating Kaka's Birthday

Today is Kaka Endah's birthday. Last week, Mommy bought a pendant and a chain for her as birthday present, she likes it very much and has been wearing them since.

When Mommy came home from work just now, she bought a cake for Kaka. We sang her a birthday song and I helped to blow out her candle. The cake was delicious, I ate a huge slice. Hehehe...

Domesticated since young

Most young children, including myself, will be terrified of sight and sound of a vacuum cleaner at work, but not my little brother. In fact, he loves it!

Whenever Kaka vacuums the floor, he will shriek with excitement and followed the vacuum cleaner around.

Mommy thinks that Leonitus will make a good husband who helps his wife with housework in the future.

Using Chopsticks

I am 3, so I should be moving on from spoon and fork to chopsticks! To help me do that, Mommy bought me this pair of special chopsticks that work wonders for toddlers. It is so easy to use that I can eat on my own after one minute of trying.

And they can be stored and carried in a container. That makes it easy for eating out too. I really love those chopsticks.

Mommy, shall we eat noodles again tomorrow?

The Dancing Fireman

Leonitus's birthday bash took place at Northvale Condo's function room.

Mommy made a blunder with the ordering of Leonitus' birthday cake. The date was wrong, therefore there was not cake for Leonitus to cut. Daddy had to rush out to buy as many cupcakes he could possibly get at the mall near our place.

But these cupcakes were very delicious! I think they taste better than the one which we originally wanted. Hehehe...

It was a mad chaotic day, but nevertheless, "Happy Birthday, My Baby Brother! I love you!"

Today is the actual day of Leonitus' birthday but his birthday bash would be tomorrow. But Samy Kaka, a helper of our neighbor surprised us by baking Leonitus some very yummy cupcakes!

Samy Kaka also bought Leonitus a birthday present too! She is so nice. We always joke that she is Leonitus' No.1 fan!

After the candle, cake and present, Leonitus was tired, Samy Kaka even carried him and rocked him to sleep. I think Leonitus is very blessed to have Samy Kaka as his fan. Hehehe...

Leonitus' Present

Mommy bought Leonitus a toy from Leap Frog for his birthday. It is magnetic and can stick on our fridge. It's good for Leonitus because he can play with it in the kitchen while Kaka is cooking.

Mommy asked me for my "professional" help to decorate the present after she wrapped it up.

Mommy held my hands to write Leonitus' name down on the wrapper, I colored it with many different colors, then I stuck stars around it to make it nicer.

'TADAA!!' It's done!!

I am pretty sure Leonitus is going to love it when he see it tomorrow. Happy Birthday, Leonitus!

Whenever we bring our Rainbow vacuum cleaner out of the closet, Leonitus will become very excited. He loves to push the vacuum cleaner around; it helps him to get about the house. And it has this very long wire cord coiled round the unit that never fail to keep Leonitus occupied by uncoiling it.

And when my baby brother is not playing with our very expensive vacuum cleaner, he can be found inside a laundry basket.

Hmm... I am beginning to imagine Leonitus making a really good house-husband in the future?

Hiking @ Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

Last Monday, Daddy and Mommy were both not working, so we headed to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve for a hike in the morning.

It was a long way to the summit and part of the track was very steep and some were quite winding.

It was a cloudy morning and with the shade provided by canopy of trees, the place was actually quite cooling.

On the way, we saw many old and big trees, some were dead, some must be hundreds of years old already.

We finally reached the summit and there was a monkey to greet us. "Hello monkey, what's your name?"

Leonitus was sleeping throughout our hike up the summit. He will not be so fortunate next time when he had learnt to walk.

It was almost lunch time when we made our way down to the Hindhede quarry to have our picnic.

Look at the spread Mommy prepared. There were ham, salad, chicken nuggets, french toast, bacon, garlic bread, grapes, pears and drinks!

I was off to play while Leonitus and Mommy shared a pear.

There was a playground nearby. I love PLAYGROUND!

Ohhh.. this slide looked a bit frightening. Would it be dangerous?

We weren't the only ones having fun at the playground, the monkeys joined us too.

Before we leave, we must go to the Look-Out-Point at the quarry for some family photos.

That's all folks! We are all bushed; time for our naps.

Taking On the Gigantic Snow Slide

We were having our dinner at West Coast Plaza on Boxing Day, as I behaved quite alright during dinner, I was allow to play on the gigantic inflatable snow slide. It was 2-storey high but that won't stop me.

Let me do one on the tummy. WooooHHHoooo!!!

Upon reaching the bottom, there were some obstacle-course to clear.

Then I bounced myself into a large inflatable "pool" and pretended to swim.

Leonitus is too young for the gigantic slide but he can play by bouncing himself in the inflatable "pool".

He was having just as much fun too even though he is just a baby.

Happy Holidays, my Friends!!

Our Christmas 2010

This year, we had a quiet but cozy Christmas Eve dinner at home as a family. There were garlic loaf, apple-baked ham, salad, cheesy sausages, roasted chicken and black pepper slipper lobsters; all very delicious!

After dinner, we gathered under our Christmas tree, counting our presents.

Then it was time to cut the log cake. Mommy bought a mini chocolate log cake.

Apparently eating the cake wasn't enough for Leonitus, he wanted to eat the decoration that was on the cake as well.

Mommy and Daddy had fresh oysters for supper after we went to bed that evening.

On Christmas Day, we went over to grandaunties' place for Christmas lunch and we played with our cousin Caine and another little boy.

Leonitus and I were super tired and cranky when we took the group picture above; we were so in need of our afternoon naps.

After napping, we went to West Coast Plaza for our dinner. We had steamboat. Look at all that steam!

This was Leonitus' very first Christmas and he is totally loving it!

Let it snow

We were having dinner at West Coast Plaza when Daddy learnt that the mall's entrance would be "snowing" so we went out to take a look. It had not start yet so we decided to take some pictures.

At 8 pm, the "snow" started to fall!

It wasn't really snow because everybody knows Singapore is too hot to really snow, the "snow" was in fact some foam sprayed from a machine.

Look at Daddy and Leonitus's head! Their heads were full of "snow", mine was no better too. Hehehe...

When everyone was busy playing with the "snow", I took the chance to sit on the chair, and imagined it as a throne and I felt almost like the queen of the party.

How I wish I would be living in a country with four seasons, so that I can play in the real snow and perhaps build a snow man on Christmas Day.

Domestic Injuries

Today is not a good Saturday for me and Leonitus.

I always have been allergic to mosquito's bites; sometimes I just needed some steroid-based cream but there are times where I have to see a doctor to get antibiotic because the skin around the bite will become swollen and inflamed, just like this time round.

Yesterday evening, Mommy had already brought me to my paediatrician, but my foot is still in quite a bad shape today.

Although the two bites were on my heel and ankle, the swelling goes as far as my calf. Now my right leg is bigger than my left. Mommy calls it "The Elephant Foot".

Leonitus, who had some fungus infection on his face, also went to the paediatrician yesterday. He was doing fine until this afternoon, he had a mishap while crawling and hit his face on the floor. His front teeth cut his lower lip. He was bleeding and crying for a good while. Now he has a pouty-looking lips. Sexy!

Let's hope we all recover soon because next weekend, we'll be going for a short road trip. And we certainly look forward to that.

My 3rd Birthday Party

We celebrated my 3rd birthday on Sunday, a day in advance of my actual birthday.

Mommy bought me a Hello Kitty scooter for my present. I love it! I will learn to ride on it.

We had a BBQ party at our condo's BBQ Pit and I had invited many of our neighbors, my classmates and relatives to join us in the celebration.

Leonitus wasn't too young to join in the fun.

There were lots of cooked food; beehoon, fried rice, chicken nuggets, mutton curry, salad, sotong balls and my favorite, the fishball!

My friends and I took over the condo's playground; everyone there were my friends and their care-givers. It was as though the playground was reserved for us.

It was time to sing me a birthday song. Mommy knows that I would like a Hello Kitty cake in royal chocolate so she got me one which tasted delicious. Yummy!

I felt so happy to celebrate my birthday with many of my good friends and close relatives.

Thank you to everyone who attended my birthday party. I love all of you and I hope to see you again on my next birthday!

Doing The Laundry

Fun at a Car-nival

We went to the Volkswagen showroom today to look at the new Touran, a 7-seater MPV, and surprisingly shopping had never been this fun until now!

Daddy wanted to shop around for a bigger family car and Mommy knows that there is a place where Daddy can shop for car in peace while I can be entertained by Dora, The Explorer, so here we are at The Volkswagen Showroom.

In fact, there was so much more to do at the showroom. Here I was making my own personal badge.

While Daddy tested the new Touran, I was busy exploring the place and watching a magic show.

There were free-flow of food and drinks. I ate a chocolate cupcake and had cranberry juice.

And not to forget the ice-creams! Leonitus tried some chocolate ice-creams and I had a strawberry cone.

There was also a balloon sculptor but we didn't manage to get any as it was limited to the first few who queue up for it only.

But nevertheless, we had balloons although not as nice as the sculpted ones, we were happy to receive one.

Mommy was tired but we wanted to hang out for a while longer to meet Dora.

Finally we got to meet Dora and even had a photograph taken with her.

In the end, we didn't buy the car, but we are giving it a serious consideration; anyway we indeed had a lot of fun as a family shopping together.

Selamat Hari Raya Haji

Our home is a place where we respect every individual's racial and religion.

Our helper, Kaka is an Indonesian Muslim, so during Ramadan, Mommy would allows her to fast and do her prayer. And sometimes, when Kaka goes out during her day off she would wear this headscarf which has a specific religious significance.

I was curious and had also wanted to try wear a headscarf too so Kaka made one out of my towel for me.

On the morning of Hari Raya Haji, Mommy taught me to greet Kaka with "Selamat Hari Raya Haji". But it was so long that I kept forgetting and had only managed to say "Selamat Haji".

Mommy believes it's important to cultivate racial and religion harmony from young because Singapore is a multi-racial country and we as Singaporean must do our part to ensure that we will always be ONE SINGAPORE.

Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease

Leonitus started having fever last Wed night; Daddy and Mommy brought him to our pediatrician who gave him some paracetamol. But he was still having fever on and off and he was looking so listless on Saturday that made Mommy really worried.

So off they went to KKH, where Leonitus had his finger pricked for the first time to do a blood test.

Unfortunately it wasn't very serious, just Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease, the doctor at KKH told Mommy.

But it was really strange, because Leonitus didn't have rashes until the fever subsided a day later and all the rashes can be found anywhere except his hands and feet and the rashes didn't even look like anything we saw from the internet. (*Scratch head)

So... is it still Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease or... it looks to me more like Head, Shoulder and Tummy Disease.

The Peculiar Sleeping Style
