Being Sick

Mommy had taken 3 days of her annual leave, planning to bring me out. Unfortunately, I became sick on Monday night and was very cranky throughout the entire night. Both Daddy and Mommy didn't get to sleep much.

Mommy took me to the doctor on Tuesday; I had developed a sore throat, runny nose and fever.

Since, I had fallen sick, it had not been easy, because I would unusually clingy and would want to be carried most of the time.

Today is the last day of Mommy's leave, she is disappointed that we didn't get to do much together, however she is relieved that I slept better last night and is on the route to recovery.

My Safety Buddy

We went to Parkway Parade last weekend, because Mommy had some work to be done, for a couple of hours. The mall was extremely crowded, but as usual, I was zipping in and out of the shops, shaking off hands of Mommy or Daddy, running in opposite directions of them, making them chase after me all the time.

So, they decided to get me a safety harness to prevent me from getting lost and to keep me out of danger.

To some curious on-lookers, it might seems rather cruel to leash me up like a dog, but the harness is made in a way that it resembles an animal backpack. Daddy and Mommy let me choose the animal I like because they want me to have with good feelings for my safety buddy too. I chose the koala bear.

See, I like my safety buddy, Koalala!

After so much running in the mall, I was simply exhausted and fell asleep on the way home. Mommy was glad her little "Duracell Bunny" finally used up all her energy.

No More Jumping On The Bed

I had a really nasty fall from the bed, last evening. Mommy was on the bed with me and I was jumping and running in circles on the bed. And then Mommy's sight left me for 1 second, I landed on the floor beside the bed, screaming and crying at the top of my lungs.

I got a 'ba lu ku' and also the impact was bad it caused a slight laceration on my head. Mommy was worried sick. Hopefully, I will be fine after a day or two.

The Performer

Last Sunday, we went to West Coast Plaza, formerly known as Ginza Plaza, to have dinner. There was an empty stage so I got up and instantly do what I do best -- PERFORM!

I did catwalk, dance and screams... I mean sing but it sounded kinda like screams anyway.

See how naturally I take to the stage. Because I am a born-talent!

Hohohohoho!!!!

My First Lollipop

This is my first time eating a candy. Not just any candy, a lollipop. Poor Kaka Endah, had to buy for me because I refused to put it back and Mommy & Daddy were next door paying for my new clothes.

Suck.. Suck.. Lick.. Lick... Hmmmmm.....

Why is everyone looking at me laughing?

**Suspecting the lollipop....

Shit! I got punked! Now I look like I am wearing some freaking lipstick in GREEN!!

What a first experience for me!!

Looking Like A Lady

Mommy let me ransack her hair accessories pouch so that she can clip my hair up with a big black ribbon.

With my fringe clip up, I think my face looks even ROUNDER!

Let me have the mirror, I wanna see myself.

Ermmm... if looking like a lady means putting something on my head, then I rather look like a monkey!!

My Stage

When I am in the mood to perform, I climb on top of our coffee table and it becomes my stage!

The video had me turning in circle and doing a bit of dancing to the song of "Head & Shoulder" and some tapping with my happy feet. :)

Mc 'Sunday Morning

Yeserday, Daddy & I, woke sleepyhead Mommy up, to go to Mc Donald's for breakfast. I shared Hot Cakes and Milo with Mommy while Daddy had Big Breakfast with coffee.

Before I left, I gave Ronald a hi-five and a flying kiss!

Mommy can't help but wonder, why children are so attracted to this weird-looking clown. She thinks it had to do with some 'magic'. She swears that she will not allow the fast food culture to supersize me.

Visiting A Piece of Mommy's Past

Last Thur evening, we went to EN Dining Bars which is along Mohamed Sultan Road for Japanese dinner.

Look behind me, those rows of shophouses used to be Mommy's favourite hangouts when she was younger. She told me that she was visiting clubs like Madam Wong and Dajie almost close to 4 times a week. And often she would be so drunk that she can't remember how she eventually got home.

This is the canal that Mommy's friends would hate because when Mommy was drunk she would refuse to go home and insist to come to this canal, along Gallery Hotel, to sober up by puking into the river.

Mommy's good friend like Auntie Candy and Auntie Janet would stay by her to make sure that she wouldn't jump into the river. Can you believe that was how my Mommy was when she was younger? Oh... So scary!!

But my Mommy has changed, she had finally grown up after having me. Hehehe...

Dressing UP

I like to wear Mommy's clothes and play dressing up, as an adult. I think this jacket suit me very well. hehehe....

Daddy just went to military reserve and got home with this brand new army cap and I say it looks so cool on me!

Mommy is thinking of putting aside some of her old clothes for me to play when I am a bit older and that might help me to grow up to become a supermodel. LOL!!

Back To Nature

Daddy & Mommy had wanted me to experience the rustic edge in our urban country. So this morning, we went to D'Kranji Farm Resort at Lim Chu Kang. It is situated at a very remote part of Singapore.

Mommy says that it wasn't as "kampong" as where she used to live when she was my age. But nevertheless, we did see some creepy crawlies which were a common sight in the rural.

I spotted a millipede and many miniature centipede-looking insects, but the shop keeper there was telling us that they are harmless unlike the real centipede whose bites are really nasty.

Daddy bought a home-made sour plum ice lolly to relish his childhood. And I got the chance to share it with him. I was melting in the heat, just like the ice lolly.

Most part of the farm seems uncompleted. Like this prawning pond. And many of the retail outlets were also closed. The place really needs some help.

I really like water, so we went to look at the collection of seafood before going for lunch at the seafood restaurant. There was a big fish, almost as big as me!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After leaving D'Kranji Farm Resort, Daddy made a detour and brought us to a very secluded spot, Lim Chu Kang Jetty. This is where the people come to dig for mussels and cockles. There is also a jetty, which caters for boats to the nearby kelongs.
As the storm clouds gathered, we made our retreat and hesitantly left the jetty, to go back to our concrete jungle.
Goodbye Nature!
It's sandy!
Mommy decided that we should all take an evening walk after dinner, so we went to Choa Chu Kang Park which is located a stone thrown from where we live.
There were many children at the playground building sandcastles. It was my first time touching the sand with my bare hands. It felt strange initially.
But soon, I was loving the cool, sandy texture and feeling of sand slipping away through my fingers was really amazing.
Here is Kaka Endah, our domestic helper, who had been giving Mommy lots of relief in our household. She was showing me how to make my feet disappear under the sand.
I had sand everywhere. In my hair, face and even inside my diaper!
Mommy suggested to Daddy to bring me for another round of sand play in one of the weekends. Maybe we can go to Sentosa or East Coast.
I love getting my hands sandy!!
