Yummy Mooncake

Mommy bought us the Snow Skin Mooncakes with Dark Chocolate Crunchy Pearls from Raffles Hotel. They are so so yummy! No wonder they cost $60 for a box of eight. Luckily Mommy only had to pay $45 after some corporate discount.

It's not ice-cream, but Yonanas

Every children likes to have ice-cream, however we are in-tolerance towards lactose hence ice-cream is a no-no for us.

This is our dessert for the evening. Does this look like ice-cream?

It's actually not ice-cream but Yonanas!

What's Yonanas?

Yonanas is a easily-operating kitchen equipment that turns frozen bananas into a super healthy dessert that looks and tastes like soft-serve ice-cream.

We had tried many different flavours. This evening, we are having bananas jackfruit. It tasted unbelievable!

Yonanas is best for children who never like to eat fruit, because no children will ever guess that yonanans is actually make of nothing, but fruits!

Rider's Cafe and Pony Ride

We had brunch at Rider's Cafe earlier. This place is really popular for brunch on weekends, so do make reservation before dropping by.

Despite having a reservation, we still have to wait for about 5-7 minutes before we got our table. So I just chill on the sofa while waiting.

The cafe is rather small and has no air-conditioning, but it is airy and bright. A nice place to hang out with family and friends.

We were seated quite near the windows so we were able to see horses passed by, just outside the cafe. Mommy  was mesmerized by the sight.

Daddy had the Blackstone Benedict with Tomato & Bacon, Poached Eggs & Hollandaise sauce. It's one of their signature dish for brunch, I heard.

While Mommy had Smoked Salmon & Scrambled Eggs with Avocado on Toasted Sourdough.

We had some kid's menu which is not worth mentioning. Anyway, eating is not why we want to come here in the first place.

This is the reason why we want to come - PONY RIDES!!

It's $10 per child for the pony ride. There is a tent to shelter us from the blazing sun while we waited for our turn on the pony.

Finally it was my turn for the horsey ride.

This nice little pony is named Moonlight.

After me, was Leonitus' turn. He can't wait to get on the pony, he had his helmet on, way before the ride.

The Bukit Timah Saddle Club is really a cool place, tucked away from the city, it is a rare gem on our tiny and over-populated little island.

We will be back, perhaps we can try the other restaurant, The Marmalade Pantry, the next time round.

Bake!

Mommy is getting more and more awesome at baking. The latest to her list of successful gluten-free baking is the very tasty Pineapple Upside Cake.

Mommy might be secretly dreaming to be the next Nigella Lawson. Hehehe...

Labour Day 2012 - East Coast Park

Today is Labour Day, a public holiday where Daddy and Mommy don't have to work, so we went to East Coast Park to cycle.

Actually Leonitus, Mommy and I just sat on the ride while Daddy and Kaka pedalled. It's labouring for them and holiday for us. Hahahaha...

We rode to Bedok Jetty and watched people fish. "Look Leonitus, an aeroplane!"

After an hour of cycling, we headed to East Coast Food Centre and had a wonderful dinner. Hawker food is still the best sometimes.

I love public holidays! Don't you?!

Dinner by the Marina

Yesterday we went to Prive Cafe located at Keppel Vista Bay to have dinner with our Godparents. We reached there early so we decided to explore the beautiful marina while waiting.

There were so many luxurious yachts parked in the marina. How I wish I can take one to sea.

Just as we settled into our table, Godma and Godpa arrived. Leonitus and I shared a fish and chips, it was delicious!

There is a mini playground in the cafe, it kept the dare-devils us entertained while the adults chit chat.

Look! There is my Godma, she is expecting twins! I am going to have two sisters to play with me soon. How exciting!

Leonitus didn't want to hug Godma's tummy, he preferred Godpa's thigh. Hahahaha...

We love Godpa too! We believe he will be a fabulous Daddy in the future.

It was a fun-filled evening. I can't wait to meet Godma's babies soon. :)

Roof Top Dining

We like going to 211 Roof Terrace Cafe at Holland Village because the cafe is beautiful like a garden!

It has a huge out-door dinning area and it is situated right on the roof top, so on a good evening you can see the moon when you eat.

There is lots of plants and water features which makes it more interesting for children than a restaurant which only has tables and chairs.

We always have the organic brown rice with cod fish, which is healthy and very yummy too. I have been there twice this year and probably be visiting it again soon.
