An Uninvited Visitor

Just now something unusual happened, a bat flew into our house! A baby bat!

It was flying around our dinning and living room hysterically. Mommy caught it with a fish net and put it into a plastic container.

Leonitus was terrified of it at first and went over to examine it cautiously.

Mommy assured him that the little bat was harmless and probably it was feeling lost and scared, only then Leonitus relaxed and stood beside it to have a picture taken.

I was also just as fascinated by this uninvited visitor.

Mommy wanted to bring the bat downstairs to release it, but noticed that it seemed a little exhausted or maybe even unwell. So Mommy brought it over to our neighbour who is more experienced with animals. He is kind enough to take the bat in and agree to help it get better before setting it free.

Be well soon, little bat! And fly, fly away into the blackened night where you belongs.

Run Fest for Cold Storage Kids Run 2013

We were at the F1 Pit Building for the Run Fest by Cold Storage Kids Run to collect our race packs. And we got to meet Angelina Ballerina! I can see that Angelina was also happy to meet me. Hehe..

Leonitus gave Angelina a peck on her cheeks before leaving the stage. Cheeky!

Not only did we caught Angelina Ballerina, we also met up with Bob The Builder. "Can we fix it? Yes, we can!" I wanted to chant.

We are looking forward to our run two weeks from now.

Celebrating our new helper's birthday

We have got yourselves a new helper since beginning of this month, when our last helper left us to return back to her home in Indonesia.

Although our new helper has just started working for us, we have already bonded well with her. It's her birthday today, Mommy gave her a small gift and Daddy went out to buy a gluten-free cake so that we can celebrate for her.

We sang her Happy Birthday in three languages, English, Malay and Chinese, because our new helper can understand all three languages.

"Happy Birthday, Kakak! Hope that you will be a great help for our family!"

What's a Princess?

I always imagine myself as a princess! Princess wears pink, prefers dresses to pants and has long hair. Or so I thought.

But when Mommy asked me what is the definition of a princess? I am stumbled. Mommy showed me this video and told me princess is someone who is vulnerable, but brave, who stands up for herself and for others, who believes family bond is the most important.

Now I know how I can be a true princess!

Fountain of Wealth

Just now, we went to Suntec City to have dinner with my grandparents and family. After dinner, it was still quite early, so we visited Fountain of Wealth.

Fountain of Wealth is located right in the heart of Suntec City, it is the largest fountain in the world!

Picture from Wikipedia

At certain timing, the Fountain of Wealth would be suspended to allow visitors to walk into the fountain area to a mini fountain right in the middle. We were told to walk round the mini fountain three times and touched the water of the fountain as we go.

Leonitus always attract female attentions wherever he goes.

After three rounds, we are supposed to make a silent wish. I wish.... to have a princess birthday party very soon. Hehehe...

Noisy F1 Race

We were having dinner at Marina Square over the F1 weekends. The sound of the racing cars was deafening!

We could catch a glimpse of the cars from this area. Leonitus had his hands over his ears all the time. He finds it too noisy for him to bear.

It's going to be five more years of F1 noise, my brother, deal with it. Hehehe...

My Art

I always loves to color and draw, so my parents enrolled me for art lessons at Global Art, Bukit Timah.

The picture of the house is my proud work, selected by my teachers to be pinned up on our school's mini "hall of fame". Hehehe...

This one above is Mommy's favorite. She thinks the colors of the sun-setting and the water look amazing. I spent a lot of effort and time on it.

Besides learning to color, I also get to try drawing our favorite cartoon characters. Here is my picture of Monster Inc. What do you think of it?

Hari Raya 2012

Instead of going out on public holiday, we stayed at home because we were expecting some visitors. Our cousin Caine and his parents, our Uncle Eric and Aunt Honey, dropped in to play with us.

We had an evening swimming, then we came back home to watch TV and munch on some popcorns.

Selamat Hari Raya to all our Muslims friends!

Old habit dies hard

I have this very queer habit of slipping my finger through the label of my stuffed piglet when I sleep. Been doing this since I was a baby. I might changed several different piglet already, but this habit is here to stay.

Everything Halloween

I learnt about Halloween not too long ago. When I saw witches' hats, scary masks, devil's horns and more selling at the supermarket, I was curious and Mommy explained that Halloween was approaching and those were the costume for dressing up.

Then my ballet school was having Halloween theme last Saturday. Mommy bought me a pair of wings and I dressed up as a fairy. I was so happy.

Daddy brought home a pumpkin last week and he learnt to crave it into a jack-o-lantern by watching some instructional video online.

When the jack-o-lantern was lighted up, it looked really menacing!

Leonitus was petrified by it and started to brawl when Daddy wanted to take a picture of him sitting beside the lantern.

I was quite afraid of it initially. But I am older so I am more brave than my brother, I supposed.

It took us some time to cultivate the courage to sit beside the jack-o-lantern.

In the end, we overcome our fears and started to poke it around. It's just a pumpkin, Mommy kept saying.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Mid-Autumn Festival 2011

"It's Mid-Autumn Festive. Hurray!! Let's celebrate with our lanterns."

Due to the haze situation and because both of us have sensitive airways, we didn't go too far to carry our lanterns. We were down at our pool and the little recreation park in our condo.

Although it was just downstairs, we were happy enough because we have Daddy and Mommy with us.

We met our neighbor, Abigail. But she didn't have a lantern, so we lend ours to her.

Then we saw someone playing with lanterns that blew bubbles. We played together, it was much more fun.

It was a pity that we didn't see to see the moon because of the haze but never mind, the look of our glowing lanterns was just as nice.

Time to go home. Goodnite lanterns. Goodnite moon. Hopefully next year, we will see the moon, big and round.
