Kite Flying

We went to West Coast Park to fly our kite. This is our first time attempting to fly one.

But our kite kept falling from the sky!

Meanwhile Leonitus sat on the stroller and watched us trying desperately to launch the kite up into the air.

Then it was Mommy's turn to try. She thought she had a good start.

A while later, the kite came plunging down again and again and again...

Mommy was running all over the place, trying to get the kite up and I was chasing after her and our kite.

Minutes later, Mommy gave up too. She rather go and wipe Leonitus's ass then to try kite-flying.

I gave up too. I rather get my hands dirty with the sand.

Then I was busy posing as Daddy's model. "Cheese!"

Mommy was tired after all that running. Everyone just laze around on the straw mat.

Time for some family portrait but I wasn't too keen to take any photos because I was demanding to have burgers for dinner.

Finally I smiled because Daddy promised to give me 10 burgers if I smile for the camera.

Look! Why other people's kites can fly so high?!

Last few pictures of Daddy, Leonitus and me before we head out for dinner.

Too bad we didn't get our kite as high up in the sky as some other folks, but we had a great time anyway. Maybe we will have better luck with our kite the next time.

Visiting An Art Exhibition for Children

Last weekend, Daddy and Mommy brought me to a very interesting place, an art exhibition that is specially meant for children.

We were greeted by Walter, the helium-filled rabbit at the entrance.

This exhibit has artificial grass and we were supposed to hop around on it like rabbits.

The "Floribots" will "grow" and "bloom" according to the speed we move around them. So cool!


Leonitus is captivated by them.

Next up, The Enchanted Garden. It so beautiful; it was as if we walked right into a storybook!

Beside The Enchanted Garden exhibit was an activity centre. We can paint butterflies and then paste them on the wall. Mommy was helping me to color mine.

There, all done! Not the prettiest, but I like what I had done.

I stuck my butterfly on the wall already. See, so many butterflies! Must be more than a hundred of them here!

This exhibit is call "Daisies", it was really fun. The "daisies" will disappear when you walked on it and if you stand very still for a few seconds, they will reappear on your bodies.

Leonitus became the "exhibit" at the Funky Forest; the staff gathered around him and played with him. As for me, I was busy trying to "divert" the flow of water with those "wooden logs".

It was time to go for dinner. I was hungry after having so much fun. I didn't know that art can be so interactive and lively. It was a good experience for the whole family.

We Love Swimming!

The weather is hot, which makes it perfect to go swimming in the evening! This is Leonitus's first time swimming in a pool.

And he is so happy! He loves swimming as much as I do.

I am pretending to be a mermaid!

I brought some toys to play by the pool and I also met my friend, Abigail, there to play with me.

Both of us are tired, after a good swim. Warm milk and an early night would be good for us.

Can't wait to go swim with Leonitus again.

Father's Day 2010

I made a Father's Day card for Daddy, with the help of my teachers in school. Mommy was so envious because she didn't get any card made by me for her Mother's Day.

Mommy bought a cake for Daddy and I was to surprise him by carrying the cake to him in the studies but Daddy came into the kitchen just as we were preparing it.

Anyway, we still have fun taking pictures with the cake.

Leonitus looked at the cake curiously. He thought it was a ball, he wanted to kick it with his leg.
